The Key Question

We live in a crazy world. True wisdom is hard to find. All of the social sciences are constructed based on the assumption that we are inherently separate individuals.

But what if on some level, perhaps through the consciousness of our core, we are interconnected, as the Buddha taught? What would that change for economics, sociology, and anthropology? What would that imply for art, community, and a thousand other things?

Perhaps...it's the next big question we need to face.

My Mission

I think the last few days have made me wonder how touch I am with my mission or purpose. Before the workshop this weekend, I thought I had a good sense of what it was. Now I'm not so sure. One thing I've recently become more aware of is how much of what I do is motivated by getting approval from others. That is, I am by habit often motivated toward acting in a certain way to get approval. To get 'good boy' or 'attaboy.'

But what about acting from a deep place of mission and purpose? That's what I think I need.
